These 5 exercises are a great way to tone and shape your glutes. Do them as a warm up before your next workout to really help your butt muscles to fire! And remember, the key to each of these exercises is to slow down and really control the movement.

Single Leg Arabesques

Donkey Kicks

Start on all fours.
Engage your core by drawing your belly button back towards your spine.

Lunge Pulses
Step your right leg forward and your left leg back, so your feet are about 1 metre apart.
Rise onto the ball of your back foot.

Squat Pulses
Step your feet hip distance apart.
Engage your core and lengthen through the sides of your body.

Hip Raises
Start lying on your back with your feet hip distance apart.
Straighten your arms beside your body. You should be able to touch your heels with your finger tips.

Single Leg Arabesques
Start by standing on your right leg.
Extend your left leg straight behind you.
